Health & Safety

At R N Wooler we are extremely committed to Health and Safety standards and, consequently, we hold an exemplary health and safety record, far surpassing regulatory requirements.  This accolade is further noteworthy given the number of highly sensitive, complex projects that we undertake, often in occupied buildings working within tightly constrained parameters.

To ensure that best practice is being maintained we are accredited to the following SSIP approved organisations:

  • Monthly unannounced site audits where each site is scored on a number of criteria.
  • Six monthly review meetings to discuss trends and make recommendations to improve our Health and Safety in practice.
  • Keeping abreast of industry wide trends and legislation.
  • Risk Assessment and Method Statement vetting.
  • Annual general systems audit.

In addition our Health and Safety Director is trained to NEBOSH level in relation to Health and Safety Management.

As we directly employ the majority of trades it is important that we ensure that our operatives are suitably trained and experienced and we have a constantly running training programme  for this purpose. We assess individual training needs and organise accordingly.
