The project, although not a high value scheme, had to be delicately dealt with due to the sensitive nature of the undertaking works to a heritage building, especially when working alongside an operating railway line.

The signal box has had a general refurbishment, including extensive timber repairs, re-roofing, new shutters and redecoration.
