Keighley Market

The project brief was to create a new prestigious canopy entrance to the old Low Street Market, as a springboard for future improvements to the markets interior.

Glazed curtain walling formed the perimeter of the structure and the fabrication of a specialist barrel vaulted roof light as the centre piece of the entrance.

The interior of a new atrium lobby area was fitted out and altered later and a new refreshments bar. Disabled access ramps and a glazed balustrade veranda were also constructed.

The market was open to the general public throughout the works, requiring particular diligence and additional safety measures to be adopted during the scheme, including the fabrication of an alternative market entrance for the duration of the project.
