The Talbot Hotel

The project brief was to refurbish the historic grade II listed hotel, originally constructed in the 17th century. Due to the extensive scope of the scheme the hotel was closed to the public for the duration of our time on site.

The works included removing old ceilings in some areas and replacing with new plasterboard ceilings. Making good existing skirtings, ceiling coves, floors etc. as required. A number of rooms had original Victorian tiled floors which had to be protected throughout the contract. The scope of work also extended to the external car park with new kerbs and drainage being installed along with new soft landscaping and surface dressing the parking areas.
