The projects were based around the internal refurbishment and re-branding of the sales floor and market street departments to 12 stores, which were undertaken out of hours, ensuring minimal disruption to all areas to allow the store to continue trading throughout the works, and included:

• New department bulkheads
• Feature Produce aisles
• Re-configured and refitted prep areas
• New back of house prep areas
• Installation of new underfloor services and associated terrazzo floor works
• Public Toilet refurbishment
• External maintenance including car park repairs and white lining
•  Lighting reconfiguration and re-lamping
• Checkout renewal
• New serve over counters
• Full internal decoration
• Larger schemes involved the replacement of all refrigeration plant and associated sales floor display cabinets

Upon completion, R N Wooler’s KPI’s rated 2nd out of 10 contractors working on the programme.
